Kevin Garnett didn’t make this dunk during Game 4 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals, a 94-75 loss on the road to the Detroit Pistons. Coach Doc Rivers knew how Garnett would respond to an off night. “He’ll be tough on himself, which is always good,” Rivers said. “Self-motivation is the best.” Doc was right: Garnett and the team bounced back to win the next two games and send the Celtics to the NBA Finals.
