On November 3, 2010, Paul Pierce nailed a free throw to send him over 20,000 points in his NBA career with one team. Pierce’s 28 points, aided by a perfect night shooting from the free-throw line, helped the Celtics defeat the Milwaukee Bucks at home, 105-102 in overtime. Pierce said after the game, “Five years ago, I would never have imagined I would score 20,000 points in a Celtics jersey. I was a disgruntled player.” He overcame and joined an elite club alongside fellow Celtics legends John Havlicek and Larry Bird.
