Posey to the Rescue
Date: June 12, 2008
With the Celtics down 20 points halfway through the third quarter in Game 4 of the 2008 NBA Finals, James Posey helped send his team on a 21-3 run. He closed out the frame with a 3-pointer from the corner. In the fourth quarter, Posey hit another from downtown to help the Celtics secure a 97-91 victory and take a 3-1 series advantage. For the game, Posey hit four 3-pointers on his way to 18 points – check out the expressions on the Los Angeles Lakers bench behind him. Posey complimented Boston’s defense and his head coach. “Doc drew up some plays and that’s where I ended up,” he said. “I always take my shots with confidence and they fell. We took what they gave us and took advantage of it.”
