Shaq’s Big Deal
Date: 2000s to 2010s
In 2006, Shaquille O’Neal signed an endorsement deal with Chinese shoe company Li-Ning that would last until he retired. Li-Ning created two separate shoes based on Shaq’s nickname in Boston, “The Big Shamrock.” Shaq wore this edition of “The Big Shamrock” in games. He managed to average nine points per game in 37 contests that season before calling it a career.
